Hot Boys Fire & Elevator

Elevator compliance · Central Texas

Your inspector found violations.
We fix them.

Hot Boys Fire & Elevator is the contractor on the other side of the inspection report: machine-room electrical, fire recall testing and alarm reconnection, pit and hoistway work, cab repairs — done right, so your elevator passes re-inspection.

Austin-based. Every job starts with a walkthrough and an itemized proposal.

Inspectors find it. We fix it.

The inspector

An independent, state-licensed QEI inspector examines your elevator and files the report that lists every violation. We don't perform inspections — ever.

FAQ

Straight answers

What happens after an elevator fails inspection in Texas?

The inspector files a report listing each violation, and the building owner is responsible for getting those items corrected and documented by the deadline on the report. That is where we come in: send us the report, we walk the site, and we return an itemized proposal to correct the cited items and get you ready for re-inspection.

Are you an inspection company?

No — and that separation matters. State elevator inspections are performed by independent, licensed QEI inspectors. Hot Boys Fire & Elevator is the contractor on the other side of the report: we do the corrective work the inspection calls for.

What kinds of violations do you fix?

Most of our work falls into four buckets: machine room and pit electrical (GFCI protection, disconnects, line-side wiring, labeling, HVAC); fire recall testing and fire alarm reconnection (including shunt trip and generator transfer); pit and hoistway work (sump pumps, ladders, structural and masonry); and cab repairs and finishes.

What is fire recall, and why did my elevator fail it?

Fire recall — firefighters' service — automatically returns the elevator to a designated floor when the building fire alarm activates, and gives firefighters manual control from inside the car. A common failure we see: the building's alarm panel was replaced or reworked at some point and was never reconnected to the elevator controller, so recall silently stopped working. We test it, find the break, and reconnect it.

How do your proposals work?

Every job starts with an on-site walkthrough of the open items. You get an itemized proposal — each violation priced as its own line — so you can see exactly what each correction costs before any work starts.

Where do you work?

We are based in Austin and work across Central Texas — Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Hutto, and Lockhart — plus San Antonio, Waco, and Conroe.
